Hey all,

As a rising junior in college, I had a quick question for the community to plan accordingly for my semester courses. I plan to take the MCAT during in spring of junior year.

Some suggest taking genetics before taking the MCAT, while others don't. I currently plan to take cellular biology along with physics during junior year. Thoughts?

From what I've heard (I haven't started MCAT prep yet) the genetics on the exam isn't at such an advanced level that you have to have taken genetics beforehand. However, I figure that it can definitely make your studying easier, having seen that material once already (especially if you learn from repetition).

I'd wait to hear what someone else on here who has taken the MCAT says, though.
