isn't this dialouge from some sort of old video game? Someone wrote it all over a desk at my library and then I saw it on southpark's homepage, so I had to look it up and the best I could find was a transcprit from a video game. I think its all a bit odd.

For those of you not nerdy enough to know what's going on here, let me get you up to speed. There was this obscure video game called Zero Wing that was released for the Sega Genesis way back when. The game had an intro that was very poorly translated from Japanese to English. Here is the text from the game:

In A.D. 2101
War was beginning.
Captain: What happen ?
Mechanic: Somebody set up us the bomb.
Operator: We get signal.
Captain: What !
Operator: Main screen turn on.
Captain: It's You !!
Cats: How are you gentlemen !!
Cats: All your base are belong to us.
Cats: You are on the way to destruction.
Captain: What you say !!
Cats: You have no chance to survive make your time.
Cats: HA HA HA HA ....
Captain: Take off every 'zig' !!
Captain: You know what you doing.
Captain: Move 'zig'.
Captain: For great justice.


For some reason, these quotes began circulating on the internet among the gaming community and the whole thing became mainstream when someone created this video (make sure you turn your speakers up):

a worldwide phenomenon several years ago.

basically some geek found an old video game with terrible translation. he posted it on a bulletin board. more geeks found humor in it. then a photoshop contest began. hilarity ensued. the rest is history. actually, all that was history too. umm nevermind.
