I am enrolled in part 1 of my school's 200-level Physics for Biology majors and pre-professional students. I never took Physics in high school and this is just too much for a first exposure especially because the professor is notoriously awful.

We are still within drop/add at my school (can add on stuff and drop without a W). There is a one-semester 100-level Physics for people who haven't taken Physics in high school that I am thinking about taking now and then taking the Physics sequence next year.

Any problems with this from an ADCOM perspective? I'm sorry this is silly!

I think as long as its physics it meets the requirements for most schools. I will be taking Algebra based 100 level physics for both semesters, I would reccommend the same if you can do so.

I also dropped a course this semester. Luckily if its within add drop it doesnt even appear on your record, so theres literally no penalty. I dropped calc this semester.

I should clarify. My major requires me to take the two semester 200-level Physics sequence to graduate. This is also the one that will satisfy my med school prerequisites.

I am asking if it's a bad idea to take a one-semester, 100-level Physics primer class intended for people who didn't take it in high school (a group I fall into) PRIOR to taking the two-semester 200-level Physics sequence.

I don't want it to look like I am taking the easy road by taking an easier version before the harder version.

Oh my apologies, I should have read your post more thoroughly.

I agree with Lawper, as well. As long as your GPA is good I dont think they would care if you took a 100 level physics class prior to the 200 levels, as long as it was at your home university.

Good luck!
