Does taking 200 level classes in your junior years look bad to the admission? My biology classes are going to be all 200 level classes in my junior year, but all of them are core classes for my major. I do not take 300/400 levels because they are mostly elective or I am not interested in the topic at all. Is it necessary that you take 200 levels in your sophomore year, 300 for junior year, and 400 for senior year?

They do not look at every course each applicant out of thousands took - no way is an admissions committee going to be that pedantic. I'm sure the more anally retentive members of this forum will say otherwise though.

You'll be fine bud. Take courses that interest you and that count towards your degree, and do as well as you can. It will not have any significant impact on your chances one way or the other.

You'll be fine, I got interviews with only freshman biology.

No, it's not bad. It'll look better if you could take 300 and 400 level Biology courses and do well in them. It'll only look bad if they compare you to another similar applicant who has taken 300 and 400 level Biology courses instead of 200 level Biology courses. If you're neither comfortable with nor interested in taking those upper-level courses, don't take them because it's likely you won't do well. Better to play safe than to be sorry. Look into your first choice school and find out what additional courses they recommend to competitive applicants. Most of them are upper-level courses like Biochemistry, Histology, Immunology, Anatomy & Physiology, Pharmacology, etc.
