Taking a Class that I claimed AP credit for?

I previously claimed AP credit for my chemistry lab, but after looking at some of the OOS schools that I am applying to, I discovered that they don't accept my lab credit from AP as a pre-req. The credit does show up on my transcript. If I take the lab class that I already have credit for will this look bad to my in state schools? My in state schools accept the AP credit.

I'm just worried this will look weird as I am pretty much taking a class that I already "passed."

nope you're fine. Most schools prefer that you take the pre-reqs at college anyway.
