I'm currently signed up for an ecology lab that I have twice a week, but I haven't taken the lecture yet. Technically I'm not supposed to do this, but this is the only lab that fits in my schedule and I have to take quite a few labs in the next two years so I scheduled it. Anyone have any experience with this?

surprised they would even allow you to do it. seems silly.

In all honesty, I took them together at a pretty ecology focused school that isn't easy. The lab was great fun and seemed (at my institution) to be more focused on teaching statistical techniques. I don't think you will have a lot to worry about doing the lab portion first, and the vague idea you get from lab can help with learning some harder concepts in the classroom.

eh. maybe get the ecology classes's syllabus and textbook and skim through.

Sure why not... Do something and it's like a miracle - have no idea why something happens, cannot explain in report... It's like magic show and BS a reason, what's not to love?

Do it.. I'm taking Orgo + Lab right now and they're so out of sequence that we do labs a quarter ahead of when we learn the material. Labs don't require that much knowledge on the topic and is usually pretty easy to learn.
