Hello,

After searching these forums, I wasn't able to find an answer to this question.

Anyways, my AP Biology score gave me credit for the general biology sequence at my university (BILD 1-3 at UCSD). I know some pharmacy schools give limited credit for AP scores, so I want to retake the BILD series again to show pharmacy schools that I know biology. However, because of my AP score, I won't get credit for the series, but I will get a grade. So my question is: does the fact that I won't get credit for those prerequisites affect me negatively in pharmacy school admissions?

I heard some pre-med students are taking AP-cleared classes for the grade and no credit. They said that only the grade matters to med schools, not the credit. I was wondering if that applies to pharmacy school as well.

Thank you! I appreciate any help.

I went to UC Davis so I can't really say exactly, but at least at Davis, they give you credit if you scored high enough on the AP exams but I think they prefer that you take the whole series at their university.

As always, the grade you get in class matters a hell of a lot more than the number of credits. So I wouldn't worry too much about it. Take the bio class, destroy it, and move on, if you choose to do so.

It doesn't matter, you meet the requirement. I recommend taking a higher level, upper level course instead.
