I'm currently a sophomore right now, and I just got back my grade in Ochem II: B. I've heard horror stories of pre-meds who don't get into medical school because of B in that class. It sucks because I had what it took to get that A, but there was a lot of family trauma this semester.
Anyway, my stats so far are decent. Overall GPA: 3.94 and BCPM: 3.91. I'm shooting for a top state school in California (SF, SD, LA), so I'm wondering if it's advisable to take advanced ochem and ace it to prove that I can do ochem. Or is it going to be a waste of time? The advanced ochem class will be a lot smaller than the regular class, so I can get more access to the professor, and I know that I can do well. What do you guys think? Thanks!
