I'd like to take Biochem in the fall. The problem is it's only offered in the fall and I'm a few prereqs short. I'm already taking Bio II and Chem II in the second summer session. Do you think I can take Org I in the first summer session, before Chem II, so that I'm ready for Biochem in the fall? Is Chem II really necessary for Orgro?

Orgo I is only offered the first session and Chem II is only offered the second session.

thats how we do it at my school. take chem 1, then orgo's, then p. chem. not a problem you actually need the orgos for biochem not p. chem

Gen chem and orgo are VERY different. There is very little overlap.

The only things I can think of from chem 2 at my school that were somewhat helpful for orgo were equilibrium/Le Chatalier stuff, and acid/base chemistry. You only need to know the very basics of each for orgo, and you'll probably get a review in orgo itself that covers whatever is neccessary. So basically, yeah, I don't think it would be too difficult.
