Taking DAT 8/11, Am I too Late?

Sorry to post this post considering there are so many similar ones. As we get further into this application process, it seems everyone is getting more and more paranoid, so that when I seek advice it feels like a schizophrenic seeking consolation from other schizophrenics.

Anyways, I was just curious if taking the DAT on Aug 11 is too late? I submitted my app in June, but had to take O Chem summer classes, which just wrapped up. I have a 3.61 oGPA and 3.86 sGPA, extra curricular stuff, etc. etc.

How long will it take schools to receive my DAT scores? Im particularly nervous about Case, as it seems they are ahead of the game, handing out interviews earlier than most other schools.

Seeking any advice, just one Schizo to another....

My DAT scores took about 3 weeks to be loaded into my AADSAS application. I think it is a wee bit late to take it on the date you plan to, but by no means is it awful. I am certainly not an expert on this stuff, I'm just basing it on the cutoff dates I have seen for the schools I am applying to.

Case isn't necessarily early, you're just on the later swing of the ball.

Focus on studying for the DAT and doing well. You need to do well since the DAT hasn't been taken. May take a while to get interviews, I'd count on at least ~5ish weeks or so after the DAT has been taken to hear back.

Even if we assume that you are late, what are your other chances? Not taking the DAT at all? Going back in time and setting an earlier date? Instead of wasting energy trying to figure out whether your DAT date is late or not, focus on the exam.

No its not too late, I took mine on september 28th

Yes.... this way they know that your application isn't fully complete.... a

It's not late.. a lot of schools said to take it before Aug... so don't worry you're fine.

Yeah I agree to nze... if you hit really high score... even if you write in October, you should get some interviews... so don't worry and go study!
