I'm not a bio major. I've completed my prereqs. Just want to boosts my sGPA a little bit more. Decided to take some easier bio classes. Will admissions mind? Is it looked down upon?
It's a 300 level ecology classEasier as in what? If you're taking something like... "History of Biology" to try to boost your sGPA, it won't help you much. Pretty much all bio classes are sonewhat relevant, though you should try to take upper level biology classes when you can.

The class I want to take is Ecology of Dining Hall lolP.S. My university offers a "physics of cooking" class. LOL. I want to take it purely because it sounds like a fun class. Their HW is to cook!
"History of Biology"
My answers are based partly on assumption and partly from what I've gathered from an ADCOM member that I'm in close contact with...
Will they "mind"? I highly doubt it, but they'll know what you're doing. No worries though, I'm doing the same thing. It's all about the numbers to get the first look. After that, just depends on the strength of the rest of your application.
Is it looked down upon? Depends entirely on your situation. A full time student who only has the pre-reqs completed, an "easy" major, and an average DAT would be looked completely differently from a student who is working full time while majoring in a hard math/science and wanting to take a couple of science fluff classes to help his/her GPA.
