Hey guys.
Is it recommended to finish Genetics and Advanced Anatomy/Phys I and II before taking the DAT?
I was going to take the DAT at the end of this August, but then I won't have those classes under my belt.
I finished basic A&P I and II, just don't know if its enough.

I mean it definitely doesn't hurt to have those classes under your belt as it adds to your biology knowledge. But don't let it hold you back for the DAT. When do you plan on applying?

I just took the DAT without genetics and I was totally fine. Anatomy really, really helped me though.

Edit: Anatomy = Physiology at my school 🙂

I would take physiology over all else I didn't take anatomy and didn't feel like I needed to and genetics on DAT is generally easy enough to not need a whole semester for.

I agree. Sorry- I had anatomy and physiology combined for two semesters, so things blend together for me. Physiology is what you need. Anatomy won't do much for ya. Genetics doesn't progress past basic evolutionary concepts and Punnett squares, really.
