I know that labs are required for most of the pre-reqs, so yes, technically they are pre-med courses. I have already taken Orgo 1 and lab and Calc 1 over the summer. I'm sticking to the "no more than 2 over the summer" recommendation/rule, but I'm wondering if this includes lab courses? I want to take Physics 2 lab over this summer to free up time Fall semester, but I definitely won't do it if it would look bad. I won't have taken physics 2 yet, but they're separate courses.

I think they should be fine. I think @goniff has some data about how one shouldn't take more than 2-3 prereqs over the summer?

Anecdote: I have a friend who applied this cycle who took 2 or 3 lab courses over the summer (plus 2 other pre-reqs). She’s been accepted to several schools.
