So I am going into my fifth year of undergrad. I have 19.5 out of the 20 ccredits that I need to graduate. So I was thinking of attending school part time me while working.

My question is, will not taking a full course load put me at a disadvantage? I am planning to submit my application very soon. Will it even matter what I do this year if I already have my application submitted? If I fail to get into dental school this year, will it affect me in the next cycle?

Thanks in advance!

Why not just get it all done with on your first quarter/semester?
Realistically, they'll have a pretty good idea of whether they want you or not before they even ask for proof that you took the classes. And it also depends on what classes you take. If it doesn't pertain to the required courses, I don't see what it would matter.

If it doesn't put me at a disadvantage, I would like to finish it in one semester. I just need a single course to graduate. And I have already done all my prerequisites.

Have all 5 years been at a university? I had the same question but I was advised to continue with a full course load because my first two years were at community college, and I only had 3 semesters at university under my belt.

I would think it wouldn't matter if you finished in one semester. I'm not sure about part time. I would call some schools and ask about it. My guess is it wouldn't affect your application, though.

if u can, do it in 1 sem...

So I only need to take one more course to graduate and I still don't know if I should do just one or go full time.

I'd rather not spend any extra money and time to do full courseload if it does not affect me.

Does anyone know for sure?
