So I just finished my sophomore year, and am debating whether to take the MCAT prep course this summer or the upcoming winter. I am thinking it is more logical to use the summer to study with kaplan books/flashcards and take a prep course over the winter so it will be relatively soon before the actual exam. However taking the prepcourse over the winter, I have heard it is difficult to manage with the courses during the semester. My other concern is if I took the prepcourse this summer, then there is about a 1 year gap between the test and the prepcourse, which is a LONG time.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

why not take the class over summer, and get your mcat out of the way in september? I had many friends who did this and they loved it for several reasons.

a. Its done, out of the way.

b. go enjoy college for 2 more years without worrying about that thing

c. If you need to retake, no problem plenty of time.

d. THe material tested on the MCAT is BASIC SCIENCE KNOWLEDGE. Upperdivision classes aren't vital to do well on it. Plus, with the summer open to study, you could study the material so in depth that it would probably be more beneficial than an upperdivision class.

Just my thoughts
