Based on what I have heard, it is generally not optimal to take med school prereqs at a community college while enrolled in a 4-year university (i.e. over the summer). That being said, between this summer and last I have taken almost 24 credits at my community college over the summer in order to fulfill my many GE reqs. These classes have included stuff like history, gov, sociology, art, etc. - None of them are med school prereqs/ have any influence on my science gpa. At this point, my cumulative GPA is a 3.9 as a science major. Is this generally looked down upon or is it considered ok?
