For full context: I'm a work-study researcher in my lab, and to keep my position over the summer, I have to take classes. The prereqs I have taken over the summer are orgo 1 (+lab) and calc 1. This summer, I want to take animal physiology, but I'm worried it wouldn't look too good, because a lot of people on here recommend against taking too many science classes over the summer. The alternative is to take a humanities class I don't care about because nothing interesting is being offered this summer.

Thoughts?

A class or two over the summer wont be a big issue

Right, but I’ve already taken orgo 1 (with lab) and calc 1 over the summer. Would taking animal phys be too much? I have other science classes as a bio major, but I don’t want to weaken my chances for this one class.

In my experience, people recommend against taking science courses over the summer because the shorter time period makes it more difficult than usual. Beyond that, I don't know if there's any stigma against it. It really just depends on you.
