How do you guys annotate from UWorld? To me it seems like it would take forever to constantly keep flipping through FA as you take notes. Any Solutions?

I'm not a big on taking notes, I write slow and don't think when I'm doing so.

How can I best use UWorld?

I took the notes in uw then printed it in the end. Putting it all in fa seems like a good mess lol

I think it's a better idea to put it into First Aid, since that should be your primary resource, and that way everything is consolidated. So when you flip through First Aid in those last few days, all your World notes will be with the section you're studying.

A few pointers:
1- First Aid should have page markers separating the different sections. That way you can get to where you need to go quicker and write in the relevant info from World. If you're been through two or three readings of First Aid and look at it regularly, you probably know where everything is within those sections.

2- Don't write down everything from World. If you're scoring low and feel like you're writing everything down, that's because you don't have a strong foundation yet. Go back to First Aid (or whatever other resources you're using) and get your knowledge base stronger. Then when you do World, you'll score higher. You'll also be writing less because you'll know more. You'll be reading the learning objectives more instead of the whole explanation. Also, if you've been through First Aid enough times, you'll know what is in First Aid and what's not, so you won't need to check to see whether or not something from World is in there. Only write that phrase or sentence that you really need to write into your First Aid.

Good luck!

👍 +1

I was gonna say that once familiar with First Aid format, you'll just "know" where something is within the book, like: Brachial plexus lesions - musculoskeletal section, BAM!! lol

What I do is first I go through class notes, then I use FA to help with memory. After that I go to the section of UWorld and do a some question and annotate if necessary. I am also using Gunner training, but I feel like I am going really slow on GT, probably will work on them more during weekends and vacations.
