Taking Online Psychology Class?

Hi SDN,

I was planning on taking a winter online intro psych class to ease the workload during spring semester. It is a required class for my major after all.

My first question is whether my grade in this class will be considered legitimate by medical schools. Is psychology required for admissions into certain medical schools ?

My entire degree was in Psychology. Many of those classes were taken online, including Intro to Psych. I was accepted into an MD program this fall, so hopefully that answers your first question.

I think there are a few schools that require a class in psychology, but most schools don't require it or only say that it's recommended but not required. You'll be fine taking that class, as long as there isn't an online lab component or something (online labs = not legit).
