it's looking like I'm not going to do well in this class this semester. how bad would it be if I switch to P/F, having already been accepted to medical schools? (deadline to do so is in a few weeks). i plan on emailing certain offices if this ends up being a contentious topic. thank you all in advance!

*edit: it is NOT a prereq.

your school(s) will know, not us

Email/call the office of the school (or schools - if you have not made your final decision) and ask them. They will not rescind their A for inquiring.

It is doubtful that they would rescind your application if you get a lower letter grade than your average. Definitely ask the school, but why go through the trouble? You want to make a good first impression with the administrators of your medical school, so if you do indeed ask them for advice, be sure to not come off as though you are trying to slack off and want a P/F status so that you don't have to work as hard in the course that you are enrolled in.

Depends a little on the underlying course. Hopefully not a pre-req, but regardless don't fail it. Switching to P/F should be okay
