Hi,

I'm taking the PCAT in a few days (July 10) and as the test date comes closer, I've been getting more and more anxious. I've been studying for about a month and a half now (using Dr. Collins and Pearson Practice Exams), so I feel somewhat prepared but not as much as I want to be. My hands start to tremble and become clammy when I imagine myself taking the real test, which interferes with my focus when I study. Also, I've had trouble sleeping the past couple of nights because I can't stop thinking about the exam!

Is anyone else experiencing this much anxiety? How do you deal with it?

Please help!

I'm taking it the same day as you. I'm experiencing the same thing because I'm definitely not ready for the quantitative part. 🙁
But you think of it this way that the anxiety is going to mess up your brain, so try to be calm as possible! (or at least thats how i do it)

I agree about the quantitative part. The time limit is pretty challenging, but hopefully if we keep practicing using mental math we'll be okay!

I am taking the PCAT on July 10th as well without ever stepping foot in an organic chemistry class or a college level A&P class. I am very anxious especially for the quantitative ability and chemistry sections. I feel like I did not allow myself enough time to study for the QA section. I am going to be a bundle of nerves from now until I get handed my score report... hopefully I will be pleasantly surprised... Good luck! 🙂

Test anxiety has ALWAYS been my downfall & one of the MAIN reasons why I'm taking the PCAT for a second time on Friday. Take a timed practice test tomorrow and just review Thursday. I've found that taking multiple timed Practice Tests (EXACT test day conditions...quiet room...15 min break, etc) has helped me feel less stressed and more confident. I'm going for a nice run Thursday evening, so I will be able to sleep the night before lol. Also, plan on getting there 1hr early! First time, I got there 15-20 before my scheduled test time...I was not expecting to see a room filled with 10 other students waiting to check-in so I instantly became nervous and worried that the test would start before I was able to check in. So my best advice would be to PREPARE & RELAX 🙂
