I am planning on taking the PCAT this coming September. I have just decided to start Pre-Pharmacy courses so I am taking BIO I, CHM I, Anatomy and Physiology I, this spring semester. Then in the summer, I'm taking stats in the first session and CHM II in the second session.

So the start of next fall, I'll be one month in to BIO II, Anatomy and Physiology II , OChem I while I take the PCAT. How much will this affect my scores? I will plan to take it again in January after I have finished up all of those classes so I can resubmit the score unless I have already been admitted somewhere.

It will affect your scores quite a bit cause you need to know some ochem, calc, anatomy/physiology, gchem and gbio. I suggest you get PCAT prep books by Dr. Collins (plus Kaplan if you have time) and start studying.

This topic is perfect for our PCAT forum. Hopefully you will get many responses.

FWIW, I think you have a solid plan. It is not so different than what I did. You can retake if necessary, but you may very well do fine the first time through. Whatever you decide, let us know how it works out. 👍

I had not taken Calc, OChem I/II, Stats, Pre-Calc, or Microbio. Sure, it was quite doubtful that I would score a 90+ composite, but I did manage a 79 with a 95+ Bio and an 85+ Chem. It is all about how you prepare for the exam.
