Hi all,

Given the complications of COVID-19 and the fact that I am a member of the "high risk" group as I battle a chronic lung condition, my medical team advises that I should complete class online this summer to be on the safe side. I will be taking physics 1 and 2 WITH online lab. I know that many medical schools prefer you don't take such classes online, but given many colleges are staying online this summer, do you think this will be ok? When I apply to medical school, I will definitely include my explanation for why I took physics online. I am also taking it at another school other than my own because it is far cheaper to do so and my school's ability to run classes online is kind of a **** show (so paying isn't even worth it), whereas this other school is more accustomed to online learning. I can also include that this decision to take classes elsewhere was due to COVID-19 related financial circumstances. Do you think this will be ok? I would prefer to take physics online so that I will have all my MCAT requirements done by the end of fall semester.

It seems reasonable and well-justified to me. I think you will be fine in the long run.
I have a "feeling" that fall classes will also be online...
