Hey everyone,

I'm wondering if it's frowned upon to take dental school pre-reqs at more than one school. I have my Bachelor's degree so I'm looking at this from a post-bacc perspective.

My stats are:
cGPA 3.2
sGPA 2.7 (Bio 1: 2x with grades of D/C+, Bio 2: C+, Calc at CC: C+)

A lot of W's on transcript. Had a 4.0 senior year of college. Tons of dental assisting experience.

So basically I need to retake those classes as well as take Chem, Orgo, Physics. I was thinking of doing Gen Chem this summer at a local state school and then moving to Boston and doing the rest of the courses at Harvard Extension. My reason for doing this is that summer school at Harvard is pretty expensive ($5500 for the course + rent).

I've heard mixed things on whether it is better to take all of the classes at one place or not, if only in terms of getting some sort of Pre-Health LOR.

Also, because of my low stats, will a post-bacc be enough? Will I need to do a SMP after I do the basics, or should I just take more upper-level Bio classes at the undergraduate level?

Any input is much appreciated!

Edit: that science GPA doesn't seem right. I'm not entirely sure how I calculated that. Would Neuroscience be included?

There's nothing wrong with going to more than one school. Plenty of people do it. I myself will have 6 schools on my transcript when all is said and done, although I'm sure that's atypical.

No reason to move to Boston just to go do the pre-reqs at Harvard. Won't look any more impressive than any other 4-year university, especially not Harvard extension. Just do them all at your in-state university.

If you are moving to Boston for other reasons, then maybe. However, I still wouldn't do Harvard Extension because online courses never look good... even if it's from Harvard.
