Taking school specific required classes senior year (after applying)?

Hey guys,

Does anyone know if you can take a school specific required class, like genetics or physiology, senior year after you have applied? I am currently a junior and I am making my schedule for next semester, so I am trying to fit in what I can, and leave out what I can do next year. Also, I know you need 6 credits of English, can you take the last 3 senior year telling each school you are applying to you will take them first or second semester of senior year?

Yes, you can.

For example, I took both of my English classes senior year (1 fall, 1 spring).

I am a senior and just got admitted and i have some pre reqs to finish up. now they aren't intro english classes but is anatomy and i wasn't removed from screening at mayo for not taking biochem yet.

Sure, but I wouldn't recommend taking the MCAT without taking intro bio, and you won't get any interviews, let alone acceptances, before you have an MCAT score.

Understood. I took ap biology back in high school so I'm fine for the mcat but I should probably take the real thing before medical school.

Just make sure you are doing well on practice tests before taking the MCAT. Should be no problem, as long as you take it before you matriculate.
