USMLE Taking step in 6 days but scoring really low on NBME. How is my outlook?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I haven't taken any steps, nor am I at the level you are at academically but I would give you this advice--
Review FA+UWORLD for 1 week, and in the back of your mind, positively remind yourself that 200/194 on an NBME should get you anywhere between 200-220 on the real deal.
best of luck

NBME's predict your scores really well, there's only a 5-10 point differential, from what I know atleast , (i.e, if you're scoring 200/194 you may get anywhere from a 190-210ish on the real thing).

I've only heard of two rare instances where a person was scoring really high on NBME's and failed the real thing, and heard only one person who was incredibly borderline passing.

But since post-poning the exam isn't an option, I suggest you try to read FA through & through and Uworld to the best of your ability.

Hope this helps, good luck.

A 220 would be a stretch at this point. The range is more like 185-210.
