Ok, I got horrible GRE scores. My palms were sweating and my mind felt like it was on a taffy puller.
I did awful, just awful.

VERB:157 (74%) QUANT:149 (37%) WRIA-2.5 (7%)

I intend to gain entrance into a PhD program in Counseling, General, Social or even quantitative Psychology.

So my question is: Do I retake the GRE? Or should I take the Advanced Test in Psychology? Or both? Why? Why not?

I've got a solid GPA (3.7) and 2 years of decent research assistance work (no poster boards or publications). Above average Letters of recommendations. Despite my ridiculous writing score on the GRE, I can write a stellar letter of intent. I have a fully formed picture of what I'd like to do professionally, and what i'd like to study academically.

Any advice would be helpful, thank you.

I would only take the subject test if you plan on applying to schools that require it, and I would definitely retake the general test to beef up your AW and quant scores.
