I'm a sophomore. I've taken gen chem 1&2, orgo 1&2, cell bio, and sociology.

Is it a smart idea for me to self study biochem, physics, and psych full time (6 days/week) over the upcoming summer and practice during the fall semester of my junior year? I'm hoping to take the MCAT in 1/2025 and retake it in 3/2025 if needed. I'll be taking biochem and physics 1 during the fall semester of my junior year.

I'm trying to avoid having to take a gap year if possible. I have a solid GPA and plenty of hours for a traditional applicant (1000+ paid clinical, 200+ volunteer, 100+ shadowing), so the MCAT is the only big hurdle before I apply. I'll cut down my extracurricular commitments to the bare minimum when preparing for the MCAT.

Thank you in advance!

The MCAT will be the most important test you have taken.
Shortcuts are ill-advised. Re-takes should be avoided as all scores are visible and can't be unseen.
Take it once. Take it well-prepared. It is a test of judgement as well as knowledge.
