Ok, if one is on a waitlist at this time of the cycle, one should consider plan B which is reapply for this next cycle. one is preparing to retake the MCAT, then the acceptance letter comes. So one should cancel the MCAT, but the deadline is already passed. One has the options of taking the MCAT for fun or just not showing up on the test day. If one decides to take the MCAT for fun , is there any bad consequence for doing this?

Can they decide to withdraw the acceptance if they learn you got a poor MCAT score? Honestly, I probably wouldn't risk it...

THIS IS THE ESSENCE OF MY QUESTION. I just think about the $210 that I paid, and I really don't wanna waste it.😀

My friend and I once considered taking the LSAT for fun. I figured it would be pretty cool to say that I COULD have gone to law school had I wanted to. :meanie:

i think you should take it and do horribly.. setting a really nice curve for the rest of us...

(yes, yes, i'm aware one test taker wont make a difference.. chillax)

I've taken gmat practice tests for fun. I actually had to take the SAT yesterday for a job as a tutor that I applied for. Both of those tests pose interesting problems that are fun to work out. If you feel the same way about the mcat go for it.

You know what, after practicing and learning and practicing at it for a while, I am kinda fond of this MCAT. These passages become so much interesting, since they offer new info that I have never learned in class.

I am not in the states and have been denied the local medical school...

I am feeling like taking the MCAT just to show that I do know the material... despite lack of formal training...

been using a lot of open course ware..

So ... $300 US for fun... if I get a job,.. I'll think about it...

It has been really fun being unemployed this last year... I've had time to do a lot of stuff, I always wanted to learn.. proteoglycans and all.
