I'm spending this semester away from campus working with a research group. I wanted to write my honors thesis on the work, but my old major wouldn't let me. Undeterred, I switched majors to another without that restriction. This does make my student schedule look very odd though. While the penultimate semester looks fine, the last one has introductory biology, a couple physics courses, a throwaway health policy class, and an English class, for a total of 14 credits. I'm going to be writing my thesis, so add on three more credits for independent research and maybe a TA slot (no credits), and that's going to be my schedule. Will that be a problem?
For reference, my schedule's looked really odd in the past. Last semester I only had 13 credits because a clerical error stopped me from getting research credits. This semester, I'm only doing research, so I only have 3 credits.
Thank you!
Edit: For clarification, I have to take those courses because they're requirements in the new major (premed) and not in the old (biochem). Ironically, I'll be TAing a 400 level bio class before taking intro bio.
