Talking about high school activities in secondaries

I know that there's a stigma around discussing your high school activities in your primary application, does this hold true for secondaries as well? I received a secondary essay prompt about witnessing unethical behavior that I could answer well using an anecdote from my years in high school debate, should I go for it or try to answer the question with more recent life experiences?
