Howdy, would love any input on how to rank these 2. Love the missions of each school and have to ties to Dallas and East Texas. Pretty set on doing a competitive specialty. Also have interest in pursuing a dual degree program which only tamu offers currently.

Any advice/thoughts would be appreciated thanks 🙂

For both of your wants it sounds like TAMU is the better option. More established and has the dual degree.

Not saying that UT Tyler would be a bad choice... we just don't know much about it given that it is new.

Tamu hands down between these two, A&M has a good match list for most of the competitive specialties.
