Target date for submission of ERAS?

I'm starting to have a little bit of a panic attack here...I'm SO stuck in my decision between EM and another field, and I need to have a date in mind when I would need to submit ERAS and still have good potential to get interviews in EM. I've heard October 15, but I'm worried that's too late, so can people throw out a date? And does that include having all LORs in by that day, too?

Middle of October is about when I had everything (including LOR's) uploaded onto ERAS and submitted to programs. I still received plenty of interviews. The interview invites didn't start rolling in until the dean's letter was released on Nov. 1st. Still I wouldn't recommend submitting so late. You never know what opportunities you might be missing out on.

Seriously, at least by the October 1 for the sake of ACEP on the 8th, PDs may take files with them, etc. Why don't you throw up an EM vs FM (???) thread to help you decide??? 😎

There is no date per se, but just keep in mind the later you submit, the harder it will be to get interviews. And those that you do get, may not have much in terms of available dates since all the good ones will be taken up. At best, you have a few more weeks. I submitted about two weeks into the process. EM really doesn't get the ball rolling until the end of this month with interview invites. I would really try to get it in this month.
