Hey guys!
Working in north Texas, trying to get a good grasp of if the grass is greener anywhere else. Target used to seem like a retail utopia, but they've cut tech hours and optimized operating hours at slower stores. I'm quite frequently staying at least half an hour (up to 2) past closing if I close, just to finish the day's work or make it manageable for the next day. I'm a floater, so I'm putting up with constant management bs....have to send a weekly recap of each store I've been to, a daily one if I didn't overlap with a staff, constantly rolling out new things in stores that just confuse everyone, and have to lead conference calls over a topic every once in a while. The computer system is god awful and the new one keeps getting delayed.
How are the Tom Thumbs and Krogers of the area? Anyone else have to put up with this much management annoyance? That's what bothers me the most. I know there's going to be lots of manager bs, but Target seems to take it to cultish extremes.
