Taus method; Still read FA systems Path section?

I'm half way through my first run through of the Taus method and I'm just starting systems. For people that are using this method, do you read both Goljan path and the FA path sections, or do you just read Goljan? It seems like some of the stuff in the short path snippits in FA just confuses me or distracts me from what I just read in RR. The word document isn't super clear on this so I was wondering what y'all thought.

FA path is short, and in my opinion, FA in general is just to be used as a supplement.

I'm not using the Taus method, exactly, but I am taking it and modifying it to suit my learning style. We'll see how it goes...
