Hi everyone,

So I've reached the Animal Diversity section on Cliff's Bio book and I was just wondering: in how much detail should i be memorizing this chapter. should i know every single example or major taxa and their characteristics listed under every kingdom/domain?

I just dont want to waste my limited brain power...

yea good question... especially for the early domains and the protista and plant kingdoms...i know the animal one is a little more imp

Yes, if you want to be perfect on the bio section, you have to memorize EVERY single thing in this chapter. If I remember correctly I had llike 4 taxonomy questions on my exam, all of which asked for totally random animals.

The good thing is that even if you can't remember everything, if you know or are slightly familiar with half of everything, you can just use process of elimination and come up with the right answer or a 50/50 guess for the right answer. i remember they gave me an animal i didnt know so the answer was obviously the only one that i didnt know. gotta love multiple choice exams.

a lot of it is memmorizing, and a lot of it is luck.

I asked this question before... but there are no answers really to this....

so I just memorized the whole thing... it's not that hard once you get going....

If you review couple times over 3 days while keep continuing other sections...

it will easily come in to your head.

k thanks. prolly would be wise to do this chapter last so its fresher in my head...

yup, probably best to just do this the day before the exam, and also review quickly RIGHT before an exam.

bio is first, so it just has to be slightly fresh in your head. its not something you need to know longterm...so no need to learn learn learn until you have it down cold i guess. just look at it right before the exam so its very fresh in your head might work as well .
