Does anyone know what will be the result of TB blood test on a person who had a past positive history of TB 16 years before and she was treated with DOTS antibiotics for 8 months. Also, the chest xray is negative after the treatment.

From what I know, the blood test will always come back positive if you've ever had TB - but if you had the chest x ray that came back clean, it means you no longer have the disease or latent TB either.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought a negative chest x ray means there is no active disease. However, if a negative chest X ray shows a lesion, such as calcified granuloma, it could be suggestive of a latent TB.
