We wish to put a space station somewhere between the Earth and the Moon so that there is a minimal net gravitational force on the space station. Where should we place it? (Consider just the Eart and the Moon in this question.)

A. Closer to the moon than the earth.
b. close to the earth than the moon
c. exactly half-way between the earth and the moon
d. there is no such location

Why is the answer A and not C?

moon exerts a smaller "pull" compared to the earth. the space station (in order to remain still between earth and moon) would thus need to be further from the earth and closer to the moon. F = GMm/r^2
