No information was given in the passage about nitrogens and hemes.

How the hell was I supposed to know that it was 15N? I got it right luckily.
Their answer explanation makes me believe they just wanted me to know this random stuff out of nowhere.

Lol... brood how do you score a 15 in BS and get confused by this question?

It's a straightforward question. Test taking skills (POE) and logical reasoning are all you need to answer it--not any detailed background knowledge.

If you want to know the origin of the nitrogen atoms in a heme group just feed a group of rats different 15-N labelled amino acids (1 amino acid per rat)... collect the hemes of each rat and see which rat expresses 15-N labelled hemes--indicating which amino acid is used up in heme biosynthesis.

I thought B and C were 13N and 14N, thinking this question cant be THAT easy.
I am ****ing blinded.

Now it makes sense how I got this question right last week.
