TBR is WRONG about air resistance, looking for clarification

Just read over the answer. The part about taking more time to fall makes sense, and since overall flight time remains the same, choice C is correct. Am I missing something?

The time up to the apex is shortened by air resistance, the time down to the ground is elongated by air resistance. The explaintion is correct, the affects cancel out. The actual drag force depends on a few variables that are beyond the scope of intro physics, so they are just holding acceleration constant to make the comparison apples to apples.

Ignore the question. While the answer which they reach is correct, intro physics will not give you the tools to solve the problem properly. I has been discussed in an older thread and TBR's claim is that they are trying to make you think qualitatively about the situation. In this case that does not seem like a food idea.
