does anyone use this on the real test? arnt there some limited ranges or something for the pka values? and what if they dont give the pka values do you convert the ka to pka?
Just FYI, to use the shortcut equation, you need 2 < pKa < 12 and [HA] > Ka. And yes, I would convert a given Ka to a pKa if I wanted to use the shortcut equation.
