This Pt attached to 2 Cl and 2 NH3... the answer is +2 b/c NH3 is neutral... are there any other molecules that are neutral that I should be aware of?

you don't need to memorize any neutral molecules, you should be able to easily reason that out by knowing the normal ion charges/redox numbers of the periodic table elements. N needs 3 electrons to complete its octet so 3 hydrogens and therefore its neutral. just apply that method to any other moelcule and you should be alright
