I have just started the SN2ED 3 month study plan, but do not have any of TBR books. I was just planning on using TPR's books that I have for content review along with EK's and supplement with Chad's videos but keep reading where TBR is a must for practice problems. I don't really have the extra money right now to buy TBR but am willing to since I need to improve my MCAT score. I did not know if the material I had would suffice or need to just end up buying the TBR books.

I have the following material to study from:

-TPR content books + SWB + TPR Verbal Workbook and all access to all online material (my school is paying for students to have access to all the material)
-EK content books + EK's 1001 ?'s for each subject
-Chads Videos
-AAMC Self-Assessment Package
-Kaplan content books from when I took online course last year (did not do well with Kaplan so I hadn't really considered using them this time studying)

Thanks!

BR's chemistry book was wayyyy better than the TPR chem content book. BR bio book = horrible (take the EK bio instead). TPR bio book was in the middle range, but I still thought it was too much info. Did you buy the AAMC official practice tests? If not, buy at least 9 to 11 (usually your premed adviser has a discount code for $20). Kaplan is eh~

BR practice problem is not a must. Even SN2ed said that it was ideal because you got questions more for your $. But you already bought TPR contents. I thought that TPR content practice problems were too hard to gain much meaningful study done. I would say that TPR SWB has enough practice to keep you busy if you also have the 1001. When I did only the BR content book and took the mcat i didn't do too well. On my second mcat, i did all 5005 and all of the TPR SWB and started to score in the 10 range. In conclusion, maybe... just maybe the BR chem book might be worth getting. Otherwise, eh~

Yes they are. When you're applying, the cost it takes you to get these 2-3 secondaries out will be the same price as just buying these books.

TBH, TBR questions were kinda "too much".
If you have TPRH, dont bother spending extra money.
