I don't know if I can justify a 200k difference for a MD title at a for-profit Puerto Rican school

If title does not matter to you and you are mainly interested in primary care, probably TCOM. It is one of the best DO schools and much cheaper.

But being for profit and from PR does not automatically mean bad. At least they are accredited, and mercy STL is a very decent hospital to rotate at. From their thread, it seems like research is also encouraged, and advising is available. More than you can say for a lot of other places.
