I'm desperately looking for a job and Kaplan is hiring for a PCAT instructor. They're looking for someone who scored 90+ on the PCAT and I fit that requirement. I'm wondering what you guys think of teaching PCAT. I know I'll be able to lead well but my worry is my retention of the knowledge. Clearly I'm not a teacher so although I got a 90+ I'm not an expert in all the subjects... Idk, thoughts? I know I wouldn't be able to answer really specific science questions if the students ask me in class... I know almost everything you need to know ABOUT the PCAT though.

yes you should. It shows leadership skills - which will be a big topic to talk about in interview in my opinion..
since i will be taking the pcat this upcoming september and you said u know the pcat really well..do u mind sharing with me wut it takes to score 90+ in the pcat and wut topics are on the bio/chemistry section. I took the practice pcat my bio and chemistry score are okay but i did horrible in reading, verbal, and math T__T.......how can i improve those?

THX

For reading, you just need to really focus during the exam. Practice reading LONG passages so you're able to stay fully focused throughout the passages.
For verbal, know how to connect the analogies and create bridges between them. Most of the questions you don't even need to know the definition of every word if you can use deductive reasoning and create bridges.
For math, WORK FAST. Skip all problems that will take more than 30 seconds to complete, then go back.

You can check the online PCAT Blueprint to see what Biology and Biochemistry topics there are. Biochem was pretty basic and I've never taken a Biochem course.

Good luck.

Still looking for more thoughts on teaching PCAT for Kaplan. Has anyone worked for Kaplan?
