Turkeyman, that's an amazing video! You're like gumby, all stretchy!! :) Everytime you ran up a wall, I screamed.... made me nervous!

Me, my hands get really sweaty and I get really anxious when I'm watching tv or the movies and people are really high up, hanging off a mountain, anything with extreme height. I'm a big chicken!

Y'all have a happy new years!!

One of my idiosyncrasies is that I like to look in the mirror everyday and say to myself, “Damm, I’m looking sexier each time I look in the mirror. Fabio has nothing on me.”

hahahaha thanks for the comments guys =D

No gymnastics, just two or three years of taekwondo training before I realized such "tricks" existed. When I found out...I went straight into my backyard and stood there for an hour, and finally got myself to throw a backflip. Been "tricking" for about three years this april, and its pretty much taken over my life =D. The one thing about "tricking" is that its all self taught, like break dancing.

Anyone can learn a wallflip or a backflip, I guarantee ;)

Oh yeah, I forgot my weird stuff. I love to draw morbid things (I worked as an illustrator for 3 years-- although all that I was allowed to draw was *normal* stuff), I walk around in the woods and talk to the trees like they can answer me, although I'm in no other way hippie-esque. I also love gross things-- lil kids picking their nose, those frogs that hatch live young out of their porous back, morbidly obese people having $ex, creepy dolls, I can dig it. And I love the techno, jungle, drum-n-bass, downtempo, breakbeat, house, and trip hop as well, becuzzin I used to go to raves every weekend like those people we hate.

Yeah, I guess I'm pretty f'd up. I also hate when people say "expresso". It's ESpresso, you moist polyp!!

I am/was a lot like you. I'm even from Cleveland.

I think I am beginning to like Country Music :scared:

I am an immigrant from India living in Kentucky and am friends with KY Southern boys and gals , Good ole South :scared:

NOBOOOODY asked for YOUR life story! sheesh...

I'm a huge fan of Venus Williams.

I was an avid watcher of Sunset Beach. I really like the fact that when one of Aaron Spelling's shows get cancelled he gives them happy endings. Remember the short-lived Pacific Pallisides?

I believe I've said too much.

First of all I don't look like anyone who can do anything, but I'm a huge acrobat/gymnast/martial artist. I'm also pakistani so I don't really fit well into that category. Sooo as a result of this, I usually end up surprising the heck out of people when they see me flip/kick/twist. If you guys want me to upload some videos I shall!

awesome video! Turkeys may not be able to fly but this one is pretty damn close! kudos!

For all you capoeiristas on the board, and others who just want to see some flipping, here's my demo reel(sorry about some of the bad quality shots -- those were my old cam's):

Enjoy

Good lord, hangs out with asian gangs, knows karate, and is an aspiring doctor....A walking sterotype. Just kidding, nice vid post more if you got them, and what song is that i liked it.

To my quirks.... Hmm. I get obsessed with commercials that i like. There was this artsy volkswagon commericial i loved and stayed up all day to catch it and tape it. I am also a recent fan or the afore mentioned Glen glen glen!!! commercial, and i love that nextel commercial with salt and pepper playing in the back round with the guy workers dancing sexily(word?) to it. I also am obsessed with getting into med school... even though im only 17, and im not even asian. j/k.

Hahaha yeah, all my friends who "trick" here in maryland are asian oriental, cept for one white guy and one black guy. We're just the maryland section of a large east coast team, or rather a global team now that we have a 10-man group in Toronto and a 3-man team in Britain.

The song is Thousand Foot Krutch - Phenomenon

Since I'll be taking the MCATs in April, my plan is pretty much to dedicate the next four months of my life to studying and tricking...and sleeping. Maybe eating here and there haha. So yeah you can expect some videos in the near future

About the getting obsessed with commercials, I have a kind of similar thing where if I like one small part of the song, I'll sometimes rewind that fragment over like 20 billion times and listen to it over and over.

I go through phases of obsession/addiction to/with things I can't do and download vidoes of each obsession uncontrollably
- Rally Racing
- Liquid Raving
- Street Running(i.e. Scion commercial w/ two street runners)
- Martial Arts trick videos(Turkeyman you are my hero, i'm paki as well so its extra awesome)
- Massive Paintball wars
plus many more...

That video really is awesome, Turkey. I am very inflexible myself, so I really am impressed by your split landings. (And the crawling up the walls was pretty cool too!) Do you ever do performances with other people? I think it is really neat to watch groups of capoeiristas perform; if they do it right, they don't even touch each other and it is all amazingly coordinated. If you do, would you make a video like that?

Weird things about me....well, right now one of my hobbies is bead-weaving. What you do is take really tiny seed beeds and use a needle and thread to string them and weave them into patterns. There are whole stores and clubs set up for this, and all of the members in mine are retired widows except for me. :p But they are willing to put up with me, the 30-year-old whippersnapper. :D I've just finished making a bracelet. It takes hours and hours to do just one little piece like that, but they are really awesome looking and now I have to make two more bracelets because people see my pieces and want one for themselves.

One other thing is that I do not own a TV and I do not have a land telephone line. I do have a cable modem for my computer and a cell phone, so having those other things seemed superfluous. Oh, and I get impatient sitting in movies; I wish they were about half as long as they are. This is a funny thing, because when I was a teenager my friends and I were so into movies that we'd spend all day at the theater and see every movie playing in the place sometimes! Also I have a real issue with showing up to places on time. I can do it if it's really necessary (like for an interview!), but it takes herculean effort. My friends lie to me about times of events so that when I show up late, I'm actually on time. Speaking of which, I am late for work....

I'm not sure why, but I find that absolutely hilarious!

My friends do the same exact thing to me!! They'll tell me to be somewhere half an hour before anything starts just so I'll be on time. I guess it's kind of helpful in a mean way.... :D

weird? hmmm

well, at 21, i'm still a huuuuge homebody. i bring this up because it's the holidays and coming back home, i HATE having to meet up with all my high school friends, not because i don't like spending time with them, but because i'd rather hang out with my [parents at home. :D pathetic? perhaps.

i just hope i don't have to say this when i'm in my late twenties.

I HATE YOU LATE PEOPLE!!!
My friends at home are all like that too...in fact I now habitually show up late to everything because i know they'll all still be later than me.
This is bad becaues in college, all my friends are NORMAL and show up ON TIME and so i am now the late one. You guys are a bad influence !!!

I work in a convenience store and can't stand the vietnamese and pakistani/indian cheap skates. Everything is too expensive, and when I tell them the price of an item they look at me like I'm nuts then they don't even bother putting it back on the shelf they just throw it on the floor or try to steal it.

No I'm not racist, but it seems to be these people that always give me the hardest time at work.

......hmmmmm...

I make hemp jewlery and play ultimate frisbee

I once made my girlfriend watch Star Wars with me, and she remarked offhand that Chewbacca would be a good name for a dog, and I replied that I had already considered it. The look on her face was priceless. A combination of shock/disgust/incredulity/relentless mocking.

Yet she still continues to date me. Amazing...

WOOOOOOOOOOOOKIEEE

oh wait, thats not the sound a chewbacca makes

oh wait nm, they're called wookies, not chewbaccas OOPS

they just make sounds like HRRRRUAWWWWWWwwwwwwww

:D

I ran a quarter mile in 56 seconds... in the buff.

This was after running our team's beer mile race (four beers and four laps=equals serious drunkeness).

I get upset when I am not able to go to the bars, black out, chain smoke, wake up with chicas 4 yrs my elder, explain to the 4 other "good ladies in my life" why I did that, and have to go volunteer helping people.
Better than any Philosopher, "Don't take life too serious, you'll never get out alive." (Oh, that is plagarism isn't it)

Best luck

I had this huge obsession with symmetry. If I touched my left ear by accident I would have to touch my right ear with my other hand in order to balance myself out. But then if I didn't touch it exactly the right way I would have to touch my left ear again, and then my right ear, etc etc. Similarly if my right leg twitched I would voluntarily twitch my left leg. etc etc etc. You get the point.

I don't do this so much anymore, but I still occasionally "balance out" just once and leave it at that. Though I've been told that I sometimes do it without myself noticing. Not sure why I do this, I used to wonder if it's like OCD or something but it never affected my ability to function normally significantly (really not at all). And when I really want to stop doing it I can; it just feels a little annoying for a short while. So I guess it's just a weird quirk of mine.

Ditto.

if my bedroom is not organized, i refuse to do my homework until i make it look nice and arranged.

GO GREEN PARTY!

Okay, you want weird? And secrets. Considering none of you know me, this is much easier.

1)Two of my closest friends are sex workers- one is a call girl, the other is a professional dominatrix in SF and their work stories are WAY more interesting than anything I've ever heard.
2) One of my degrees is in Women's Studies, and I happen to be a pro-porn feminist. In fact, I host "women's porn night" where a group of us gather and watch whatever one designated friend has picked out while we eat some form of greasy food and laugh our asses off.
3) Raves are fun. So are bluegrass festivals. And so is singing at the top of your lungs to anything, including Dylan, Ani, The Magnetic Fields and Willie Nelson.
4) Swimming naked in a river is even more fun, and I do that for about 90 days/year (river guide- have been for 6 years, even on a national competitive level: I work class V). So are desert roadtrips.
5) I can drink any of you under the table with tequila. I don't get hangovers from it. (I used to live in Mexico). Find me in Tahoe and I will take your challenge. And win.
6) Bi as the day is long.
7) I aspire to be a Suicide girl. But I know I never will be.
8) Shaun of the Dead? The Dark Crystal? The Last Unicorn? Austin Powers? Monty Python? Okay, and Ghostbusters. Yes!
9) If I had $6000 to spare, I'd get a boob job NOW. A lift. I have hated my breasts since I was 11. I am tired of hating my body, and being conscious of the fact that I shouldn't hate my body, and feeling guilty for wanting to do something about it.
10) I am a published erotica writer. And a published sports writer. Can't put the erotica on the AMCAS, though. . .
11) Ambidextrous. (see number 6).
12) I've read all 40 some odd OZ books by L.Frank Baum. They rock.
13) Still fascinated by tropical parasites and all things gross.

I am very nice and polite and lovely. Everyone says so. Inside me, however, I am raging mad - even at the people who think I'm so nice. Sometimes, when I hold the door for the old secretary down the hall, I smile at her and she smiles back. You can tell she thinks I'm nice. I, however, have no other intention towards her than to trip her while she painstakingly walks through a door I have been holding for her for like 10 minutes.

I love Mariah Carey.

I wear concealer, and I am a guy.

I am obsessed with the 1999 NBC series "Freaks and Geeks". I watch an episode (there are only 18) on DVD every night, religiously.

I also recently started writing down literally every memory I have from grade school.

Yeah, my senior year of undergrad is kinda slow...

It was only on for one season in 1999. They made 18 episodes, which are all in one DVD boxset. It's an amazing show. I was so sad when they cancelled it and so happy when they released it on DVD.

i hate network television, they don't go by quality of television shows, but only by public ratings. Now we see these stupid melodramatic pseudo-reality "Survivor" spawns like Fear Factor, Race Around The World, Who Wants To Marry Your Mom?, the o.c., etc...

but this may be a good thing because i read more now and spend less time watching tv heh heh

Good shows that were cancelled: Freaks and Geeks, Family Guy (Now they realize the mistake they made), Married With Children, Futurama, (animaniacs lol), i personally liked boston public, i dunno about anybody else?

Arrested Development is really funny, I hope they don't cancel that; ER is pretty good (i don't watch it much but when i saw it i noticed that there's this nurse who looks like the girl in freaks and geeks, is she the same person)

Wow, I'm glad other people on here liked "Freaks and Geeks". Anyone who hasn't seen the show needs to check it out if you ever felt out of place in grade school. The DVD set is like 50 bucks, so I know it is hard to just pick up out of curiosity, but it is truely one of the best TV series ever.

Wow, I'm kinda like that too, like I'll get the most random obsessions, and learn everything I can about them until there's no more information I can find, and then get a new obsession...

Also, I think that every doctor has to have a certain level of insanity to be a doctor, and I mean that in a good way

Well..

- I design tattoos, but never tried to sell them
- I'm a republican, but support legalization of medical marijuana, early-term abortion and socialized healthcare
- I'm an aqua teen hunger force fanatic (my gf hates this)
- I've worked slinging hotdogs for 45+ hours a week
- I surf (terribly)
- I know more about fashion than my gf and wear a clay mask at night (closet metro... or whatever they call it)
- I speak in an irish accent when I'm drunk!
