Well, I don't want to sound desperate, but I'm not sure what to do. My school of choice (and only school that hasn't rejected me yet), LSU, does not interview non-resident applicants.

Should I send a letter of intent? Or just wait it out? LSU has what I want out of all the vet schools I applied to: strong mixed animal, PBL, wildlife concentration, great SA and LA hospital case load, and I like the area to boot.

What do you think?

Hey Loo,
I think sending a letter of intent would be a great idea -- it certainly can't hurt! If you're curious about how well it would be received, you could also call up the school, don't give your name, and ask if you could send such a letter. My experience is that they will just "add it to your folder", and when they go to review it, it will come up that you are absoluely dedicated to the school, and would attend if admitted......

I think I have to agree with the nothing ventured nothing gained approach. I mean what's the worst that can happen? It doesn't help? It could show the committee that you are really committed and very much are inclined to accept an offer should you recieve one.

i feel that you should try too..remind the school of your existence and interest. Good Luck!

Is it a good idea to send a letter of intent in the hopes of getting an interview? I haven't heard from Penn yet and was wondering what everyone thought of this. Thanks for your thoughts.

Penn is interviewing into March, so I wouldn't be too worried. I was invited for an interview about a month before the date.
