Your stats are pretty good...here are a few:

NYU
Boston U
UOP

Other people will tell you to add more

Good luck👍

Your stats are ok, your application is EXTREMELY late. Tough to say at this point, but private schools may be your best bet... or wait until next year and you will likely get some bites.

I'll assume you're from the Philly area, and recommend East Coast schools, particularly Northeast:

1. Temple
2. Pitt
3. UPenn
4. Boston
5. Tufts
6. NYU
7. Columbia
8. Buffalo
9. Maryland
10. UMDNJ

If you wanted to add schools from elsewhere in the country:
11. UoP
12. Michigan
13. UNLV
14. Nova
15. Louisville

Good luck!

I know we are at the point of starting interviews, but I dont think we are STILL THAT late in the cycle. I have a friend, she got into UPENN, and she applied in October and interviewed at several places and received couple of acceptances. She was a dental hygeniest, but still she applied in October and got in. I dont think you should be that concerned, some schools have even not started reviewing, and interviews along with acceptances go out till April, if you have the money, I would suggest applying to more places to increase your odds since it seems to me you just want a dental school and have no particular top choice

I would get your application asap because AADSAS takes at least a month to send it out.

look at my predents profile, see where i applied. but dont apply to UMKC, it looks like they take a good amt of out of state ers, but it is only from a few states that they have formal agreements with.

good luck

out of my list, (on predents profile) I have interviews at Tenn and Loma Linda. expecting a few more; God willing.

good luck, like i said, just get your app submitted now

lol procrastination shouldn't be a problem for someone with above a 4.0 GPA, no?

Ive been reading posts on here for awhile now, but decided id first post here since I am in a very similar situation. Ive been out of school for 2 years now and just took the DAT on Monday.

AA 21
TS 22
PAT 20
undergrad GPA 3.2

Fortunately, im assuming your from PA, schools around here, the northeast, have later deadlines. With that being said we are applying late compared with most applicants which puts us at a disadvantage. What im doing is focusing on a few schools that review apps later such as Tufts, BU, NYU, Temple. If i dont get in this cycle ill be more than ready to apply early next time around. Good luck applying.

I hear ya. but you gotta expect this since this is a public forum...even if it's coming from an assistant mod.

Anyways, congrats on you acceptances. Where did you get in and have you decided?

i do not appreciate negative comments such as this, which are ungrounded and meant to discourage.

as an assist. mod, i should think you would know better.

fyi, i have already been accepted into 2 dental schools (one is public) and i have had 5 interviews.

SugarNaCl's comment doesnt sound very negative to me...he was just stating the obvious several months ago...

congrats on your acceptance though!

was that response just burning a hole in you over the last half a year? 😛

SugarNaCl's post wasn't really negative, it was more incorrect and misleading especially with the "EXTREMELY late" comment. I took my DAT in at schools in November and I got "bites" with sub-par stats

It may have hurt at the time, but looking at how many application cycles have progressed, she was right on point. Congrats on beating the curve, and good luck in school next year.

The word Extremely might have been a little extreme. But you have acceptances to Temple and Tufts and both are private schools. Seems like SugarNacl was right in that sense😉

Congrats on your acceptances though. So, which one are you picking?

SugarNaCl didn't say anything near to a smarta** remark. It was also not discouraging either. Applying early is a huge advantage to getting into DS and therefore the opposite must be a disadvantage. He/She was simple stating that and also giving sound advice on applying to private schools.

Gratz on getting into DS tho 😍

If you post on any open forums you need to have a little bit thicker skin and not take things so personally....just advice from a forum junkie😀

dude,

i said i was the one being childish w/ the smart a** remark. now this thread is driving me crzy. hehe

temple over tufts. temple is cheaper, closer to home, near my boyfriend, and i can live w/ a friend who lives 10 minutes away for 200bucks a month. can't beat that.

and i did not know temple was private. huh, guess i know now. though i guess it doesn't matter tơ much as long as i can afford it.

Sorry, I misread your post.

All is well....🙂
