Ok so skiing is a huge part of my life. Out of schools i got into, Temple is the only school with relatively close skiing. USC is too far from lake tahoe (7-9 hours???? Dunno if thats accurate) And Temple has some skiing which seems to be close when i google map it.

My question is, How far away is a nice resort and as a dental student would it be stupid to think i could get 5-15 days in a year? And yes i know the skiing wont be great, so it will allow me to practice in the stunt ditch aka half pipe.

Skiing is also something I have loved to do growing up. I am use to going out West (Utah,Colorado) to ski...so I'll have to make due with some of the eastern mountains.

Probably the best skiing would be in Vermont. You could probably get there by rail - and I am sure there are other resorts much closer. I'll be looking into this 😀

I would be down for a trip every now and then 👍

You have the generic Poconos mountains which are like an hour and 15 minutes from here. They're pretty cool, and if you're feeling like a baller you can take the 6-hour hike up to Killington in Vermont for a weekend. But if you're trying to get like half a day in - the poconos are close and have a bunch of sweet trails, can't go wrong there

What's a baller? I've asked like 5 people and no one knew. I hear it in songs all the time. I'm sorry I'm so white. I do have a grill though.

Lake Tahoe isn't the only place to ski in California. There is Big Bear....

 i assume it has something to do with balls. ... er, like basketball.

but i live in philly right now. as long you have a car, you can drive to so many skiing places. i don't know any off the top of my head but everything is google-able.

The skiing isn't great, like you already mentioned. But if you manage a free weekend and a few days, fly/drive up to Maine and ski at Sugarloaf - it's well worth the travel time.

Thanks for the input. Ill have to hit up new foundland, i hear there are some good places there too.

I dont care much for rails, too many close calls to my "Balls". Does that make me a baller? I think it does.

If you've ever caught a rail or crossbar directly on the stash, you are an honorary member of the baller team.

I'm just trying to indoctrinate you people who are coming to Philadelphia/Temple. Other suggested words to know would be playa, shawty, stupid fly, gully, and of course, hoodrich.

I'm from SoCal and I grew up in the Big Bear ski resorts (theres 3-4 on the mountain) Its not far east of USC (LA)

My roommate walked in while I was watching that and keenly noted, "The best part is that he makes more money than you do.", then walked out. Go to hell, soulja boy.

Sch81, I just learned one: "Illadelphia". LOL thx!
