So what did you guys think about the visit to Temple on Friday.
Were the 2007 accepting class stats as follows?

avg. GPA 3.3something
science GPA 3.4 something
avg. DAT 19.1. (is that right?)

so for those who didn't interview there, it is a very relaxed environment. Everyone first assembles in the admissions office then is brought downstairs for a presentation and everyone introduces themselves and states how they like long walks on the beach and before the presentation is over at least one person finds their mate. After one couple emerges from the presentation (jk), everyone is given a tour of the building where you come across various dental students whom you get to interact with and ask questions. After the tour is a lunch with some dental students and finally is the interview. four interviewees at one time with one faculty interviewer. They ask simple questions like y dentistry etc. and one by one each person answers so if ur last you get to have good a idea of what to say if you don't have something original to start with. Then the day is over. philly is an awesome city, they have great security on campus so no worries. I parked in the temple hospital deck on east ontario st. drove

Impressions about the school is that it was a great experience. If you haven't been there and get a chance, Brian (the recruitment coordinator) is very real. He cuts out the bs and tells u how it is. Loved the amount of experience that is available at the school because ultimately that's what u really leave with as potential dentist.

only regret is that im not Pennsylvania resident.

So is anyone out there who interviewed on friday to share their thoughts?

U don't have to have gone to the interview on friday to post. What are anyone's thoughts?

I didn't go the same day that you went, but I had a very similar experience. I thought the whole day was really great. I had heard wonderful things about Temple from several dentists before I went to the interview, and I am really glad that I got to see the school for myself. The students there were so nice and willing to answer any questions that we had. I also really appreciated the honesty and sincerity of all the students and faculty that I met. And of course, Brian is great at his job and gives a very honest picture of the school and what it would be like to go there. 😀

I loved Temple when I went a few weeks ago. If accepted there and my state school, I will have a very expensive decision to make!
